The Class D Fire Extinguisher contains a special blended Sodium Chloride based dry powder extinguishing agent. A crust excluding air forms from heat from the fire causing it to cake and dissipating heat from burning metal. This extinguisher successfully extinguishes metal fires involving magnesium, sodium, potassium and sodium-potassium alloys.
This fire extinguisher features dependable steel cylinders and all metal valve construction. Also includes a unique "soft flow" extension applicator plus built in long range nozzle.
