LOCKOUT HASPS

Lockout hasps are integral parts of a successful safety lockout program.  They keep workers aware and prevent possible hazards. Here you will find a large selection of lockout hasps made by Master Lock for virtually every application. Available to accept up to 6 padlocks. Lockout hasps accept all Master Lock safety padlocks also.  Also available are packs of 6 multi-colored hasps.
 

Lockout hasps are made to be place on an energy isolation device (i.e. slide gate, circuit breaker, line valve, etc.) in order to ensure that said energy isolation device cannot be controlled until the hasp is removed.  This warning is labeled on the front of the hasp.  Lockout hasps are strong enough that they can't be removed with normal force.

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 (c)(4) is the written procedure for intended use of a lockout hasps, procedural steps for blocking equipment to control hazardous energy, placement and removal of lockout hasps, and requirements for testing effectiveness of lockout hasps.
