The Peltor Wireless Solutions series now also includes new adapters with built-in Bluetooth for Icom IC, Alan and Zodiac radios. The adapter connects to a com radio, your communication unit, or a telephone without built-in Bluetooth. Once the units are synchronized, you have a wireless connection between the adapter and your Peltor Bluetooth Headset. When the headset is linked to a 2-way radio you can use PTT (located on the back of the earcup) or VOX (voice activated) while you move freely around the radio. If the headset is linked to your mobile phone, just press the answer button on the headset when someone calls, and you're connected. You have full duplex communication, just like a regular telephone. In addition, you can also connect calls using a voice command, if the telephone model permits.

For customers using the recommended handsets the process is fairly straightforward. Paring with non-compatible handsets may not be possible. Once paired, the portable handset will automatically connect to the Peltor Bluetooth Headset when you activate the Bluetooth functionality, provided Bluetooth is turned on in the handset. The handset will normally connect within 30 seconds, but it may take longer depending on BT timing.
