The Peltor Wireless Solutions series now also includes new adapters with built-in Bluetooth for Icom IC, Alan and Zodiac radios. The adapter connects to a com radio, your communication unit, or a telephone without built-in Bluetooth. Once the units are synchronized, you have a wireless connection between the adapter and your Peltor Bluetooth Headset. When the headset is linked to a 2-way radio you can use PTT (located on the back of the earcup) or VOX (voice activated) while you move freely around the radio. If the headset is linked to your mobile phone, just press the answer button on the headset when someone calls, and you're connected. You have full duplex communication, just like a regular telephone. In addition, you can also connect calls using a voice command, if the telephone model permits.

For use with the following ICOM Radio Models:
ICOM IC, Alan, Zodiac (straight connector)

Q: What is Bluetooth wireless technology?

A: Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks (PANs). Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, digital cameras etc via a secure, globally unlicensed short-range radio frequency band (2,4GHz). This versatile feature can wirelessly connect compatible handsets to your Peltor Bluetooth Headset for hands-free calling.

Q: What is the difference between pairing and connecting?

A: Pairing is a one-time process that must be completed in order to connect your handset to your Peltor Bluetooth Headset. The paring process is handset dependent; therefore users should be familiar with the setup, or Bluetooth menus of their handsets. For customers using the recommended handsets the process is fairly straightforward. Paring with non-compatible handsets may not be possible. Q: Why can the talk time and standby time differ with the products specification description?

A: The talk time and stand by time will differ based on different brands? mobile phones, different distances between devices and different Bluetooth link status (active, sleep, sniff mode etc.)
