Q: What is Bluetooth wireless technology?
A: Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless personal area networks (PANs). Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PCs, printers, digital cameras etc via a secure, globally unlicensed short-range radio frequency band (2,4GHz). This versatile feature can wirelessly connect compatible handsets to your Peltor Bluetooth Headset for hands-free calling.
Q: What is the difference between pairing and connecting?
A: Pairing is a one-time process that must be completed in order to connect your handset to your Peltor Bluetooth Headset. The paring process is handset dependent; therefore users should be familiar with the setup, or Bluetooth menus of their handsets. For customers using the recommended handsets the process is fairly straightforward. Paring with non-compatible handsets may not be possible. The handset will normally connect within 30 seconds, but it may take longer depending on BT timing.
