The Peltor Tactical Sport is an intelligent, active hearing protector. The smooth adjustment of the active-volume function gives the user particularly pleasant sound reproduction and less interference. The unique digital audio circuit eliminates the abrupt sound cut-off that characterizes many active-volume hearing protectors on the market, which many find unpleasant and disruptive.

The Peltor Tactical Sport is the latest electronic headset from Peltor and is great for use while hunting or at the shooting range. The Peltor electronic shooting headset has a folding headband to make the headset compact for storage purposes while not in use. The Peltor Tactical Sport headset has an interchangeable outer cup shell design and comes standard with black cups and an extra set of orange cups for enhanced visibility during hunting season! NRR 20 dB. Operates with 2AAA batteries (not included) good for 500 hours of use. The Peltor Tactical Sport audio input jack on the left ear cup for use with Peltor patch cords for auxiliary input.

The new electronics in the Peltor Tactical Sport respond at lightning speed and protect the shooter's hearing from loud impulse noises. However, the system reacts so smoothly that in most cases, you'll never hear the cut-off when the protector is activated. Q: Do I need to change the ear cushions and the foam on the Peltor Tactical Sport when they becomes dirty?

A: We recommend you to change them every six months if you use your hearing protectors on a daily basis. A new hygiene kit refreshes your hearing protectors and makes them like new.

Q: I have to wear glasses together with hearing protectors. How does that affect the attenuationof the Peltor TacticalSport?

A: One thing is sure: glasses affect the attenuation level! Try to wear a pair of glasses with thin arms that fit close to the head. Also make sure the ear cushions on the hearing protectors are soft and you will keep the noise leakage on a low level.

Q: What does the CE-mark on the shell tell me about your hearing protectors?

A: It tells you that Peltor as a manufacturer has had the hearing protectors tested at an independent testing institute in accordance with the CE standards (EN 352-1 for ordinary hearing protectors and EN352-3 for hearing protectors attached to helmets). The CE standards tell us as a manufacturer to provide a certain level of information - for example, full information about attenuation including H, M and L values (attenuation at High, Medium and Low frequencies) and also SNR (Single Noise Ratio).

Q: Which hearing protector is the best?

A: You can't say that one hearing protector is better than another just because it has a higher NRR value. The best hearing protection is one comfortable enough to make you wear it a full working day and not overprotecting you, which will make you feel isolated.

	Great sound reproduction. I wear them for hunting and at the range. Great product. Indoor shooting requires special ear protection. I wear ear plugs under the muffs. Turn the muffs up to hear and when you shoot, it will be a lot quieter. I also use them mowing the lawn and anywhere there is loud noise. VERY comfortable.

	The only reason I gave this product at rating of 3 is because the battery life in extremely low. After every 2-1/2 hours of use, I need to replace the batteries. This is far below my expectations for battery life. Otherwise, the product performs well.

	I got these headphones for office use and they work perfectly. The noise reduction rating honestly is not quite as high as "can't hear anybody speak" I said they were well to drop the volume low enough so that you can concentrate. I also have a three month daughter and I wear the headphones when she is crying into my ears. You can imagine how much of a comfort that is. The electronic controls on these headphones allow you to control both yours at the same time, which for some people (for those with hearing problems in one ear) may not work so well. However, given how smoothly the attenuation kicks in, I think the trade-off is well worth it. I also got the optional stereo in cable which I use to connect to my MP3 player. The sound quality obviously is not close to any regular headphone but because the headphone combines the ambient sounds from the microphone with a stereo in I can listen to music while still being aware of my surroundings. The only problem is that although the input cable is stereo sound place back in Mono so you hear the same thing in each ear. In conclusion, even though I don't use it for hunting or shooting the headphones are working really well for me. Who says outdoor goods won't work for the city?

	This is the second pair of electronic ear muffs I have tried they are 110 per cent better than the first set I tried. I am wrapped in these muffs ,they work extremely well. The gun shots are muffled to a dull thud and you can hear conversations quite clearly, just remember to turn the muffs on before putting them on. The reason I'm only giving a 4 , is because I have not had time to use them enough, to test them any better truth be told it would be 4 & 1/2. Great item would highly recommend..

	Top quality product! Minimal "white noise" when amplification is turned up to maximum. the shut down of loud noises is seamless...almost to the point that you can't tell the difference between normal speech and gun blast. I researched this product and Peltor TacticalSport is the cream of the crop....avoid cheaper and more expensive brands/models unless you have first hand knowledge of their performance. Fit was excellent and weight minimal....good for extended wear.
