R95 & P95 Respirators

3M designed these R95 and P95 particulate respirators with every profession in mind. No matter what kind of environment you work in, there is no need to breath in harmful air. R95 and P95 respirators filter the unwanted particles and gases that float in the atmosphere. No matter what the application, whether it's painting, welding, asbestos removal, or woodworking, these particulate respirators will keep you safe.

Respirator Classification

The nine classes of filters defined by OSHA are broken down into efficiency levels of 95 percent, 99 percent, and 99.9 percent.

R Series

This variety is resistant to oil, which means it will filter out any particle including oil-based liquid aerosol. They may be used for any solid or liquid airborne particulate hazards. This respirator should only be used for no more than eight continuous hours. Extended use is possible if the workplace setting doesn't degrade the efficiency of the respirator. R95 respirators have at least a 95 percent efficiency level.

P Series

P series respirators are classified as oil resistant and should be used in areas where oil contamination is an issue.
