  This small piece of plastic should be bundled at no cost with the helmet. It probably cost less than $1 to manufacture. Serious rip off. I bought it thinking at that price there might be a transformer or some form of electronics in it that I would need to protect the battery. Turns out I was entirely wrong and wasted my money. One could carve one out of a block of wood and set in two electrodes to match the battery terminals and it would work fine. This is no more than a connector for the charger wired directly to the two leads in a cheap molded piece of plastic that holds the battery. Shame on Trend. - On the other hand, I am finding the Airshield Pro helmet to be quite a boon and am glad to have it. Battery life has been amazingly good after a charge.
