Anchorages are sold by what they connect to (general/all purpose, steel, concrete, roof or specialty), whether they are fixed or mobile, and whether they are permanentor portable.
They all must provide a secure point of attachment for a complete personal fall arrest system, and must be capable of supporting a load of 5,000 lbs. (22kN) or of meeting OSHA’s criteria of a 2 to 1 safety factor.
3M™ DBI-SALA® anchor straps are versatile and reliable in a wide variety of elevated situations. This 42 in (1 m) anchor strap ties off to concrete structures with durable polyester build that resists abrasion and endures prolonged use in outdoor elements. Simply loop it around a rebar, cinch it tight, and pour the concrete over the loop to leave the ring exposed until you no longer need it.
