3M Latchways Personal Rescue Device
The new Latchways Personal Rescue Device from 3M allows you to bring the victim down, not the rescuer up! The Latchways PRD combines the Elevation Full Body Harness with a self-rescue device. The Elevation Body Harness features quick connect buckles, premium padding, and tight weave webbing for superior durability and comfort. The lightweight backpack attached to the harness contains 65 feet of rope which gently lowers wearer to the ground in a controlled decent in the event of a fall. The self-rescue feature is activated by pulling sharply on the release cord located on the right shoulder of the harness. If wearer is unconscious, the Latchways Rescue Pole (sold separately) can be used by another person to pull the secondary decent release mechanism, lowering the unconscious worker to safety. The 3M Elavation Harness combined with the Personal Rescue Device meets ANSI Z359.1.2007 and Z359.4.2007 requirements.
