The COMTAC III ACH headset is the third generation of COMTAC Tactical Communication Headsets designed to meet the mission needs of today’s warfighter. COMTAC now offers gel ear cushions for improved comfort, choice of boom mic location for both left and right shooters, increased RF immunity for high EMI environments, salt water resistance and Rx/Tx fail safe. Its ear cup profile has been improved, providing better fit and improved comfort for a variety of tactical helmets used by military and law enforcement professionals, including the Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) or MICH Helmet. The tactical headset features external microphones for "talk-thru" capability so today's warfighter can maintain situational awareness while wearing reliable hearing protection. The COMTAC III and COMTAC IV both have Single and Dual Comm variants for streamline cable management. The downleads separate left and right audio traffic.
The 3M Peltor COMTAC series of headsets offer tactical communication in addition to hearing protection for today's modern warfighter. ComTac Tactical Communication Headsets are formulated and constructed specifically for use with firearms and ballistic combat helmets. These headsets feature external microphones with talk-thru capability to maintain situational awareness while still sustaining hearing protection. The ComTac III Advanced Communication Headset (ACH) has been standardized and fielded by various DOD agencies, specifically U.S. SOCOM and U.S. Army PEO Soldier.

Talk-Through
Level Dependent Functionaility, commonly referred to as “talk-thru,” is a means of allowing safe audio sounds to bypass the individual hearing protection while still protecting against harmful noises. This can be accomplished with a proprietary digital audio circuit integrated into the headset. A microphone will receive sounds outside its headset and transmit those to a speaker inside the headset. This Level Dependent Digital Audio Circuit easily senses noise levels above the desired threshold and compresses each to a safe decibel level or amplifies weak sounds to an audible level.
Compression vs. Clipping
3M has incorporated compression technology to remove the “clipping” effect heard in common talk-thru systems. “Clipping” can result in missing the first syllable of important commands. This technology resolves that issue and dramatically improves speech intelligibility.
Fail Safe
ComTac External Communication (i.e. radio or intercom) and “talk thru” are completely independent of one another. In the unlikely event of electronic failure or battery depletion, external communications will continue to function.

I have used these filters for years. It was a pleasure to find a company that was on the ball and competitively priced.
As expected.
Bought jackets for my employees who work for me and are required to wear reflective wear while out around airplanes. The temperature is getting cooler and wetter they need jackets that keep them dry. They were appreciative to get these. Ordering to arrival was incredibly fast. The people receiving these were surprised how fast they came when I took them in to them.
The fast shipping was the 2nd most impressive piece. The quality of the products are very high and pleasing as well.
When I went to your website to order the product I needed, it showed the correct photo and said nothing about the product being out of stock or discontinued. Instead of letting me know this, someone chose to send another similar part that will not work. The product I ordered wasn't expensive. In order to get them however, and meet the 50$ minimum, I purchased another item that I really did not need. When the product arrived, I contacted customer service and they promptly refunded the money for the wrong product. They provided the information that the product has been discontinued. So, in summary, I spent money that I did not want too, for a product I really didn't need and did not get what I really needed. All because the stocking/inventory system failed. The customer service representative was awesome and did evrerything he could to be helpful. So thank him for that.

Item took longer than advertised to ship. Once item arrived, it was determined to be incorrect size. I have reached out to Customer Service to initiate an exchange but no one has gotten back to me.
gloves are tight considering they are an extra large. i will be sending them back.
