I would recommend yo

I would recommend you sercue the welding filter against your camera lens with rubber bands. I actually had some weather stripping (adhesive backed foam) kicking around so I carefully taped it around the welding filter (the same circumference as the 77mm lens I was using) so the whole thing fit snugly together and without elastic bands. However the real tip is to throw a dark t-shirt or hand towel over your camera to prevent light from leaking in over those long exposures. Cover all the possible points of entry (even the view finder) and you'll be pleasantly surprised. This technique does take some practice, so be patient!

Great gloves. Very comfortable, well insulated. Quality leather and manufacture at a v. good price. You won't be disappointed.

Comfortable. Nice lining, but just a little too much lining material for my hands. But the lining keeps the heat off better than my last pair. I had a pair of these 2 years ago & have not been able to find them since. Now I have a good source.

On first examination, these welding gloves seem to be of good quality leather and overall good workmanship. Haven't had a chance to try them yet in the workplace but expect good wear and protection. The color should make them pretty easy to spot, too. I liked the idea of reinforced palm & thumb. Seem to be a good value.
