Respirators are used as a safety device to protect workers from inhaling dangerous substances such as chemicals and infectious particles. Respirators are one of the most important pieces of protective equipment for working in hazardous environments and selecting an appropriate respirator requires an assessment of all the workplace operations, processes or environments that may create a respiratory hazard. By identifying the hazard and its airborne concentrations, workers can determine a proper respirator and correct cartridge and/or filter. This assessment should be done by experienced safety personnel or by an industrial hygienist.

The 3M Formaldehyde Organic Vapor Cartridge 60925 is a P100 filter that can be used for numerous applications which include laboratories, wood processing, carpet manufacturing, and primary metals manufacturing. Swept-back design offers enhanced comfort and visibility. NIOSH approved against formaldehyde, certain organic vapors and particulates. Use with 3M Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000 and FF-400 Series with bayonet filter holders.

• When properly fitted, helps provide respiratory protection from formaldehyde, certain organic vapors as well as non-oil and oil particulates at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) with half facepieces or 50 times PEL with full facepieces.
• Full facepieces must be quantitatively fit tested to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode.
• OSHA requires that gas-proof goggles be worn with half facepiece respirators when used against formaldehyde.
• Not for use in environments that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH).
• Combined formaldehyde organic vapor cartridge with P100 particulate filter
