3M Aura 1870+ Health Care Particulate Respirator and Surgical Mask

3M Aura Health Care Particulate Respirator 1870 Plus

While respirators have always been one of the most crucial personal protective equipment for healthcare professionals, the onset of COVID-19 has increased their use dramatically. The present-day scenario warrants every frontline healthcare worker, from the administrative staff to the janitorial staff, from the nursing staff to the physicians, and of course the surgeons to don surgical N95 masks at all times.

Is 3M Aura 1870+ comfortable?

Of course, this is easier said than done. More often than not, the masks can be uncomfortable, especially when they are worn for extended periods. However, the 3M 1870+ Surgical Mask aims at changing all that, by offering a much more comfortable and breathable experience for the users!

Ideal Fit for Extended Use

Most surgical masks are rather uncomfortable and simply cannot be worn during extended use. Moreover, they don’t always offer the breathability that is needed in healthcare settings. The 3M 1870+ changes all that, and brings to the market the perfect solution – a mask that easily fits a wide range of face shapes and sizes allowing for increased comfortability when wearing for extended periods.

What’s more?

This mask also offers an innovative chin tab which is specially designed for ease of positioning, donning, and adjustment! And yes, before we forget to mention, its adjustable nose clip helps provide a custom secure seal.

Little to No Eyewear Fogging

Thanks to the unique embossed top panel of the 1870+, the mask helps direct the warm and moist exhaled air away from the nose panel. This, in turn, helps reduce eyewear fogging, which has been an issue many of us have been waiting to be resolved for quite some time now.

Besides, the curved low-profile design of this mask conforms well to the contours of the nose and the eyes. Not only does this ensure a better fit, but also ensures more room for any eyewear that the user might need to put on.

Breathable Experience like None Other

The 3M 1870+ respirator features a smooth inner cover web that helps provide comfortable and reliable respiratory protection for the user. All these features combined, make the 3M 1870+ perfectly suited for hot and/or dusty work settings that require long periods of wear.

3M Aura 1870+ FAQs

Are 3M Aura 1870 and 1870+ the same?

Yes. The 1870+ Aura respirator is considered a new model of the 1870 respirator. While they both look similar and have more or less the same features, the difference in the name is a result of the OSHA requirement, which required the manufacturer to conduct annual fit testing. This requirement applies to situations of mandatory use of tight-fitting facepiece respirators. Post the annual testing, the 1870 respirator was renamed the 1870+ respirator.

What is the difference between N95 and surgical N95?

Both surgical N95 and generic N95 masks are similar in appearance, and play a similar role in protecting the wearer from airborne biological particles such as viruses and bacteria when properly selected and worn. That said, there is a key difference between the two, and that is the surgical N95 mask is resistant to fluid splash!

How can you tell if a 3M N95 mask is real?

Every genuine 3M product comes with a signature green checkmark. In case the checkmark is of a different color or hue, the product may be counterfeit. Download the 3M Safe Guard™ App and enter the Secure Code Number as well as the 6-digit Lot Number printed on the box, to validate the package.
