The FX structural fire helmet is a fiberglass contemporary style helmet is designed for firefighters to withstand frequent exposure to chemicals and hydrocarbons. Fiberglass is a composite material that is more resistant to chemical attack and is stable under extreme high heat exposure. A low center of gravity provides the firefighter with a balanced and stable fit, increasing overall comfort. This is vital to providing a stable and comfortable fit in the uncertain environment of a fire scene. The easy-turn ratchet sizing and leather ratchet cover increases overall comfort and security. The Bullard Sure-Lock® ratchet headband adjusts to the wearer’s head with a quick turn of the knob. Additional adjustment points permit a custom fit, personalized balance and excellent interface with the SCBA. The FX structural fire helmet features 3M Scotchlite® striping, which retains reflectivity to 500° F! This FX helmets also feature the unique R330 optically correct faceshield. The R330 eliminates distortion found in some faceshields and reduces eye stress and fatigue. A molded inner liner impact cap system that provides superior durability, resistance to heat, and thermal rise protection for the structural firefighter. It also keeps the helmet shell secure and stable. Certified to NFPA 1971-2013, this helmet incorporates recommendations from veteran fire professionals from around the world.
