The 3M Versaflo TR-655 Back Pack Adaptor for TR-600/800 PAPR systems is a practical respiratory protection accessory designed to give industrial workers greater flexibility in how they carry their powered air-purifying respirator. Designed for use with the compatible 3M Versaflo TR-600 and TR-800 series PAPR units and the 3M BPK-01 backpack harness, this backpack mounting adapter allows the powered air unit to be worn on the back instead of at the waist. Its secure, multilayer construction helps hold the compatible PAPR unit in position, while the alternative carrying configuration can improve equipment placement and free up valuable belt space for tools, pouches, and other essential personal protective equipment. Whether used in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, paint preparation, or surface finishing, the TR-655 helps safety professionals configure respiratory equipment to better suit workplace demands. What does the 3M TR-655 adaptor do? It connects a compatible Versaflo powered air unit to the BPK-01 backpack harness, providing an alternative to conventional waist-mounted wear. Is the TR-655 compatible with TR-600 and TR-800 PAPR systems? It is listed for use with both series, but buyers should verify the exact model and approved system configuration against current 3M documentation before ordering. Does the adaptor include the PAPR unit or backpack? The TR-655 is an accessory, so the compatible powered air unit, backpack harness, and other required components should be confirmed separately in the product listing. Is this adaptor a replacement for a respirator filter or battery? No. It is a mounting accessory and does not independently filter contaminants, supply breathing air, or provide respiratory protection. For safe operation, assemble and use the complete PAPR system according to the manufacturer's instructions and applicable workplace respiratory protection requirements.
